I might know what machine you use for rendering this? thx... btw very inspiring work..
Thanks, simple and nice post production. The images with gamma 1.0 and 2.2 are correct, if yes, this is the first time i see almost no difference between 1 and 2.2!! I usually add Reflection in Screen and Add, interesting to you another approach ;) Best regards,
thanks pep, It is a simulation of the gamma setting HDRI, the extent of gamma setting affect the shadow effect, but for the LWF i using gamma 2.2 setting. best regards
Jeff Congrats. I have a question, can this method about hdri and vray light dome be appied for exterior lighting setup? have you tried it before. I'm just curious because the effect is much better compare to vray sun at the same time there's a cloud background.
Thanks Gus. yes you can, you don't need to add a vray sun to form the shadow effect of the sun, you just need to set up the value of gamma in HDRI setting (material editor), increase value of the gamma to make the soft shadows of the sun, and reduce value of the gamma to make the shadow of the sun seem to be more sharply
Nice simple tutorial.. i really like the cloth in marvelous clothing designer.. I have One question.. what is your workflow of the book.. Just simply modelling, and add just a diffuse map for every single book? Greetz

I'll let Arie comment on this as he is the one who created this scene. I just posted it.
