Envision 1.1: Real-Time Visualization for Designers and Teams
Chaos has released Envision 1.1, an update that significantly enhances its visualization application. Envision is part of the newly launched ArchDesign Collection, a "complete immersive design toolkit for architects and teams". Envision is intended to accelerate "every stage of your design process, from concept to final delivery," helping designers explore and communicate their ideas more quickly and intuitively.
With version 1.1, Envision introduces several features that make it a more powerful tool for early design and presentations. The main new features include:
• Intuitive motion control and advanced scene management.
• A revolutionary traffic simulation system and smart animated vehicles. Animation becomes even more intuitive with tools for effortless traffic simulation and proximity-triggered effects.
• Advanced scene management enables greater workflow customization and maximizes efficiency, in addition to batch rendering capabilities.
Traffic Simulation Features: Envision 1.1's traffic simulation system, with Anima integration, allows you to instantly generate realistic vehicle traffic that flows, interacts with pedestrians, and responds to terrain geometry. Vehicles follow real-world traffic rules, navigate intersections, and interact naturally with pedestrians. They feature lifelike motion with spinning wheels, chassis roll, and terrain adaptation. The system includes automatic collision handling for smooth and realistic interactions, and color editing options for greater customization. Built-in traffic-defining tools allow you to populate urban scenes with hundreds of animated vehicles without requiring expertise in animation or rigid body physics. Animation flow controls ensure that traffic flows smoothly and avoids collisions.
Other Envision 1.1 Updates:
• Proximity sensors: Add interactive space exploration with proximity-activated object animations. These trigger when a specific component gets near key items such as doors, windows, or elevators, providing dynamic, responsive environments with minimal effort.
• Rendering queues: Automate batch rendering of images and animations across selected camera views. Integrated with the AI Enhancer and Cloud Collaboration, this workflow saves you from repetitive clicks, reduces manual effort, and ensures consistent, high-quality output.
• Navigation presets (coming soon): You'll soon be able to easily switch between navigation styles based on your preferred 3D software (Enscape and 3ds Max are currently supported, with more coming soon). This aims to allow you to spend less time orienting and more time creating.
Envision 1.1, with its intuitive motion control and advanced scene management, makes animation even more accessible, allowing greater customization and maximizing efficiency. It allows you to "enjoy real-world behavior" in your renderings "within a few clicks".
