ORDLICHT | in GERMANY
A residential corner building – Eckhaus series | 2025
Architectural Facade Design & Modeling & Archviz & Post Production by Aleyna ÖZTÜRK , 2025
Nestled at a street corner in a quiet German town, ORDLICHT explores the dialogue between geometry and light. Designed and visualized entirely by me—from massing to facade articulation—this compact urban residence hosts five apartments above a recessed ground floor, which contains the main entrance and a private parking garage.
The architectural language reflects a tension between solidity and transparency: rough vertical textures wrap the building in rhythm, while deep-set windows and angled balconies frame curated glimpses of the outside world. A deliberate shift in materiality at the base—using patterned brickwork—anchors the structure with a subtle graphic play, creating a visual base that resonates with the movement of pedestrians and traffic.
Light plays a narrative role across the elevations, shifting the character of the building throughout the day. ORDLICHT is not only a place to live, but also a quiet sculptural gesture in the urban fabric—shaped by context, softened by shadow.
