This is a set of 10 renderings called „Ouverture I-X“ - a contemporary attic space. As you can see I try to move away slowly from the regular arch-viz look. From the first Sketch to the last final rendering it was roughly 5 weeks of work. The Story behind this work is simple. The theme is contrast. In german, attic is called "Dachboden" - two words brought together. Dach and Boden, what means ceiling (actually roof) and floor, ground. This was an interesting word as i thought about - very contrasting. Then one thing leads to another: cheap - expensive. dark - bright. new – old, combined with a bit of atmosphere. I love the atmosphere in attic spaces, the light is so fascinating, that also inspired me to do this work.
