I think this really depends a lot on the customer and probably it also depends if the render is more like a pitch, or for a brochure where a customer can start to complain, because the color of real building is different from the rendering. Sometimes I have to place sun in totally wrong directions, because it simply should look nice, sometimes the rgb values of wood material have to be super exact.

I will consider the angle of light only when the client request it. Usually I use the backlight side. I believe that the architecture rendering is to help the architect sell his or her designs. When we use exaggeration, we cannot allow a great difference in the feeling from the image and from the architecture after completion.
