I did this project together with my friend Ove Simonsen, who modelled the apartment and most of the props in Autocad.
He has always had a thing with New York apartments, with their blend of old and new and when he watched the movie "Autumn in New York" he was immediately fascinated by the main characters apartment and started modeling it in Autocad.
When he was done I took over and finished the scene in 3dsmax. The scene was rendered with Vray and Post work was done in Photoshop.

Modelling was pretty easy and took about 6 hours at a stretch to complete amidst lots of fun & tea. After which we set up lighting with a vray dome light in 3dsmax and rendered. We spent about 2 hours working in photoshop to make the look just right to our taste. Hope you like.
