When the flames were finally extinguished, only silence remained on the battlefield... and the echo of heavy footsteps crossing the sea of blood.

The city, which had held firm despite the siege, opened its towering gates like the gates of destiny to welcome the last envoy from an army of which nothing remained but the specter of defeat. Behind him lay scattered corpses, broken weapons, and torn tents, all telling a story of foolish stubbornness.

The king stood firm, surrounded by his counselors, and said nothing. only his gaze spoke clearly: 

"We defended ourselves... and lost part of our souls, but we did not break."

The envoy approached, trailing his disappointment behind him like an exhausted shadow. No words were needed for the truce its terms had long been written in blood, across a land worn down by invasion.

And so, the war ended. No victory. No glory.
Only survival for the one who lost less.
