Gonzalo is an Architect and Master in Design. With more than 15 years of professional experience in Chile and the United States, he has combined his career as an architect with specialization in Design, developing a wide range of interdisciplinary projects, with a particular interest in technology. Manufacturing methods, materials, and the systems that control them have always been a fundamental part of his work as an architect and have been further explored through his academic career. During his early years as an architect, he worked at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in San Francisco, California, where he contributed to large-scale, mixed-use projects in Asia and the United States. Upon returning to Chile, he collaborated with Alejandro Aravena as an associate architect on projects in Europe and Central America.
Since 2012, he has established his own independent practice, where he has developed projects of various uses and scales, including industrial, residential, retail, and workplace spaces, among others. Currently, his architectural office operates in Chile and the United States, where, along with his partners, he has recently developed projects ranging from residential to public spaces. In the academic field, Gonzalo has worked as a postgraduate professor at the DesignLab of UAI and the final workshop of the Master of Integrated Cities at UVM. Simultaneously, he has built an extensive career in producing computer-generated images and videos (CGI) for architectural visualization and film, serving clients worldwide.
